The Devil's Bridge

This Bridge was rebuilt by the Bulgarian master Dimitar between 1515-1518. However the legend says that is has been originally built back in the Roman times to connect the Thracian lands with the Aegian Sea.

It is a picturesque arch bridge over the Arda River (region of Kardzhali), located in a beautiful narrow gorge and is made of stone.

The Bridge has been proclaimed as a culture monument back in 1984.

The "stone mushrooms" natural phenomenon

The "stone mushrooms" natural phenomenon is located next to the Beli Plast village, just between Haskovo and Kardzhali, and represents a unique natural phenomenon, created by the power of the water and the wind. The rocks look exactly like real mushrooms, are about 3 meters high, and feature various colors- the result of the presence of different minerals in them.
