11-TOUR OF CALIFORNIA AND NEVADA

Day 1- 23.10.09
Arrival in Los Angeles- “the city of the Angels”. Transfer to the hotel Best Western Dragon Gate Inn”*** or similar in the central part of the city.  Accomodation at the hotel and overnight.

Day 2- 24.10.09
Breakfast. Sightseeing around the city- visits to Hollywood, the Hollywood Bowl (the world’s biggest amphitheatre), the Chinese Theater, Beverly Hills, Sunset Boulevard and Rodeo Drive (the street with the most expensive boutique shops in the world). Free time.
Overnight.

Day 3- 25.10.09

After breakfast you will have the option to visit Universal Studios- a unique theme park, where you will be able to see where and how the Hollywood film productions are created. You are going to experience unforgettable moments as heroes from famous film productions such as “Jurassic Park”, “Sea world”, “Jaws” etc.
Another option would be a visit to the beautiful beachside town Santa Monica.
In the early afternoon we will head south to San Diego- beautifully set at the ocean’s shore this small fisherman’s town will pleasantly surprise you with its romantic atmosphere, influenced by the town’s geographical proximity to Mexico. The picturesque port, the abundance of small souvenir shops and workshops, The Gaslamp Quarter, the Old Town and the ideal mild climate attract visitors here all year round.
Accomodation and overnight at Hampton Inn San Diego Downtown*** or a similar hotel. The hotel is centrally located.

Day 4- 26.10.09
After breakfast there will be a possibility to visit either Sea World-San Diego- the world’s biggest sea park, or the San Diego Zoo- one of the biggest zoos in the world.
You may choose also to just walk around town.
Departure to Las Vegas around noon. If the time permits we will stop for shopping at one of the biggest outlet centers in this part of the country.
Arrival in Vegas and accommodation at the Excalibur Hotel**** or similar. The hotel is located on the famous Las Vegas Strip.
Take a night walk along the world-famous main street- the Strip. Enjoy the dancing of the fountains in front of the Bellagio Hotel, the pirates’ show and the volcano eruption.
Day 5- 27.10.09
A free day in Vegas for walks and shopping. An option for a visit to one of the numerous performances held here.
Overnight.

 Day 6- 28.10.09
After breakfast a trip to Grand Canyon- one of the most spectacular and the most visited places of natural beauty in this part of the world. From several observation spots you will be able to contemplate the Canyon’s majestic beauty.
A flight with a helicopter over the Canyon is optional.
Departure to Las Vegas and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 - 29.10.09
After breakfast departure to Santa Barbara- one of the most picturesque cities on the California’s Pacific Coast.
We will stop for a break and shopping in Camarillo, where is situated one of the biggest outlet centers in California.
Overnight in Santa Barbara at Oceana Hotel*** or similar. The hotel is situated at the ocean’s coast, in a close proximity with State Street-the city’s central street.
Day 8- 30.10.09
After breakfast visit to The Santa Barbara Mission – the church was established in 1786 and it is the 10-th out of 21 Franciscan Missions in the state. It still functions as a church and is called “The Queen of Missions” because of its gracious beauty.
Free time for a walk in the central part of the city.
In the early afternoon departure to Solvang or “The small Denmark”- a unique town, founded by a group of Danish immigrants in 1911, which impresses the visitors with the typical for Denmark architecture and atmosphere
Drive further to Monterey on the picturesque 1 road- one of the most beautiful, scenic and impressive routes in California- a drive through the National Nature Park Big Sur, offering breathtaking views. Here you will have the possibility to make pictures of the beautiful scenery.
A short visit to Pebble Beach- a charming boutique beachside town, famous for its beautiful golf courses.
Arrival in Monterey- an old fisherman’s town beautifully set at the ocean’s shore and memorized in the Steinbeck’s novel ‘Cannery Row”.
Overnight in Monterey at the Holiday Inn Express at Monterey Bay*** or similar. The hotel is beautifully located at the beach and offers marvelous views on the Pacific Ocean.

Day 9- 31.10.09
After breakfast you will have the option to visit the Monterey Aquarium or to go for a walk around town. After lunch drive further to Napa Valley- one of the biggest and most famous wine producing regions in the world, where some of the most valued wines worldwide are produced. Visits to wineries and wine tasting  (optional).
Our final destination is San Francisco, or “The city by the Bay”. Arrival and accommodation at Cornell Hotel de France*** hotel, situated in the city center or similar. Overnight.

Day 10- 01.11.09
After breakfast a tour of San Francisco- visits to the Golden Gate Bridge, China Town, Fisherman’s Wharf, and the city center. A boat drive to the prison Alcatraz, where Al Capone had spent his final years, is optional.
Free time. Overnight.
Day 11- 02.11.09
Transfer to the San Francisco Airport and a flight back to Europe.

1.1. Airline ticket from any European destination to Los Angeles, and back from San Francisco to the original destination.
